Intolerance to Labor

Doctors and nurses should carefully monitor how well the baby is tolerating labor as it is progressing. Fetal heart monitoring is used to continuously assess the baby's heart rate. Abnormal fetal heart patterns may indicate to the medical providers that the baby is in distress, suffering from lack of oxygen and developing damaging acidosis. Doctors and nurses should be prepared to intervene to protect the baby from injury if the baby is unable to tolerate labor.

When a child has suffered an injury related to prenatal care, labor or delivery, it is understandable for the parents to have questions about the injury, their legal rights and the legal rights of the child.  We welcome the opportunity to talk with you about what has happened to your child and about your legal rights.  Consultations are free – there is no obligation to call and talk with one of our attorneys.  Contact Us if we can help you.
